Xavy Funny

While we were in Tennessee over the weekend we were on constant tick watch. Ticks are gross and severely freak me out! Thankfully Ian was the only one that we found any on. (Except my mom!) We picked one off of Ian's leg and my Uncle Bobby informs us that ticks like heat and that we should check Ian's "parts." Sure enough Ian had three of the nasty buggers on his most private part. Ew! So my sister and I bust out the tweezers and get the suckers out. Ian was completely unfazed by the whole thing.

Later that night Ian and my 2 year old nephew, Xavier, are in bathtub together. Xavy looks over at Ian, grabs Ian's "junk" and says "You got any ticks!" I almost peed my pants laughing. I swear that kid is the funniest thing ever!

Heading Out

at 6:00 tomorrow morning. Going to Tennessee to see the Granny. Will be back Tuesday evening. Not that it really matters, it's not like I blog much anymore. My life is just way too boring to blog about. Anyways. I leave you with, guess what? That's right...photos!

I Want A Cell Phone by Madison Turpin age 11

I found this lying on the couch after Madison went to bed last night.

I want a cell phone, I'm begging for a cell phone. The answer will always be no. I can name all the reasons why I need a cell phone and let me start.

A cell phone is a very popular form of technology. All 5th graders beg for them. A cell phone is what EVERYONE wants, especially an iPhone. 5th graders love cell phones and it can help them with a lot of stuff.

One thing it can help is friendship. Friendships deepen in cell phones. If you talk to your friends it helps with your communication skills. It helps lots of people learn communication skills. Some friends don't get to see each other all day and a cell phone is where they can have a private conversation.

What if you were lost? What would happen? If you had a cell phone you could call 911 and the police could come and find you. Some cell phones also have the technology to locate children. Cell phones help parents so much. If their child is going to a friend's house they could say "Call home every hour" or whatever time.

These are all the reasons why I need a cell phone and I hope it makes you think.

The Week In Pictures

Ian before his game.

Trying to keep EJ warm at Maddy's game.

He didn't stick the landing and ended up with a bloody lip.

I loved this orange wall as a background!

Madison getting an award at the Board of Education meeting.

Madison with her award.

Carrot face!

Ian the Little Red Hen for his Spring concert at school. (And his first time EVER performing on stage! He's my shy one!)

Lord I'm tired
So tired from walking
And Lord I'm so alone
And Lord the dark
Is creeping in
Creeping up
To swallow me
I think I'll stop
Rest here a while

And didn't You see me crying?
And didn't You hear me call Your name?
Wasn't it You I gave my heart to?
I wish You'd remember
Where you sat it down

And this is all that I can say right now
And this is all that I can give

I didn't notice You were standing here
I didn't know that
That was You holding me
I didn't notice You were crying too
I didn't know that
That was You washing my feet

Turd Muffin Seagull

Yes, that's what I call Xavier! It started out just being Turd Muffin because I swear that child is ALWAYS into something! The other day I told him to get out of the window blinds to which he replied, "I can't hear you Telly." Ha. The seagull part comes from the fact that he has taken to walking around making seagull noises.

Tried taking some photos...didn't work real well. This is as good as they get.
