I've Decided

that summertime and blogging don't seem to go together for me. It's been fairly non-existent. Just been hanging around the house for the most part and nothing has really gone on. I thought that I would blog about our camping trip, but honestly, all it did was rain just about the entire time we were there. We were eaten alive by mosquitoes any time we stepped out of the trailer. Not a whole lot of fun.

School starts in 2 weeks. Madison will be in 5th grade. It's hard to believe. Ian will be in 2nd grade. Ian will also be going to a new school this year. I decided to put him in Trillium Academy, which is a local charter school. I just didn't feel that he would do well in a class with 36 kids this year. Madison can handle it. Michael and I felt that Ian would get lost in the shuffle. Hopefully he adjusts well. Please pray for him. He's not too thrilled with going to school without his sister or with the uniforms. We would have put Madison in too, but there were no opening for 5th grade and this is her last year in elementary school and we figured she could stay with her friends. Next year it will be Trillium for her too.

I guess that's all for now. I'm off to take the kids to Vacation Bible School at church. Have a great day!

I've been slacking in my blogging this summer too. I'm sorry camping didn't go so well. :-(

I'm sure your decision about school was the right one for Ian. I bet they are loving Vacation bible school, huh? My son LOVES VBS...wish he could go more often :0)

Those school decisions can be tough but no doubt you made the right one for Ian. Within a week he'll have new friends and be enjoying it!

As a parent sometimes we have to make tough choices. You know that you're doing what is best for him!

My dd is also starting the 5th grade, however here in Cali, 6th grade is still elementary school. Good thing because I started her at 4!
